Snehit cruises into the semifinals

Unseeded S. Snehit continued his dream run to gate-crash into the men’s semifinal while Sanil Shetty upstaged second seed A. Amalraj in the National-ranking table tennis championship here on Monday.

Snehit, the conqueror of top seed Sharath Kamal on Sunday, expectedly defeated Sanish Ambedkar to set up a clash with Arjun Ghosh. In the other half, Manav Thakkar takes on Sanil.

In the women’s section, too, Krittwika advanced to the semifinal having beaten top seed Sutirtha Mukherjee.
