Top billing for 35 players in KPL pool

The KSCA has given 35 cricketers in the KPL player pool top billing ahead of the seventh season of the tournament.

Going into the auction, franchises may retain four of these Pool-A players.

A brace from Mohit Singh powered Indian Navy to a 5-0 rout of Customs in the Bengaluru Super Division hockey league here on Sunday.

Shamanth, Ananya clinch titles

Shamanth Rao Kidiyoor and Ananya Praveen emerged the under-19 champions at the Accolades State-ranking badminton tournament here on Sunday.

Shamanth saw off M. Rohit 21-14, 21-19 in the boys’ final while Ananya prevailed in a hard-fought clash with Ashwini Bhat in the girls’ title clash.

Boys: Under-19: Shamanth Rao Kidiyoor bt M. Rohith 21-14, 21-19; Doubles: H.V. Nithin & Sai Prateek Krishnaprasad bt Pruthvi Roy & V. Suhas 21-14, 21-17.
