The Love Island finalists are officially all back in Blighty, and that means that we’ve had a chance to chat to them all about their summer of luuurve – finally!
Laura Anderson and Paul Knops came second in the final, which aired live from the villa on Monday night (July 30). The voting percentages have been released, proving that (Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer aside) it was a very close call – which might help to explain some of the confusion over the couples’ rankings.

It seems that, like a lot of viewers, Laura and Paul didn’t expect to get so close to the number one spot either.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other journalists about the moment Caroline Flack was about to reveal the winner, Laura said: “It was funny, when we were standing… There’s two left. Paul’s like, ‘It’d be really, really awkward if we won right now. Everyone would hate us.’ [laughs] I was like, ‘Shut up!'”
“Jack and Dani were the clear favourites,” Paul added.
“Yeah, from day one I knew that. I was so happy for them. But yeah, second – it was just mad,” Laura agreed.
Addressing the question of why they made it to second place, Paul admitted: “I can’t help but keep saying to everyone, the cast, the crew, everyone – I came in at such a late time.
“In a way, it was an easy ride for me because I didn’t have to fight anyone off. There was no controversy. There was nothing. It was just a really nice time.”
“Don’t underestimate yourself, though,” Laura told him. “You deserved it. You’re a nice guy.”
Yes, we can confirm that these two are adorable in real life.
