Where are the Home Alone cast are now? From US President to tragic deaths

It's been over three decades since Home Alone became a beloved holiday classic, capturing the hearts of audiences around the world.

The family classic was released in 1990 and follows eight year old Kevin McCallister who is accidentally left behind when his family take a trip to France for the holidays.

At first, he's happy he has the house to himself. But when thieves try to break in, he is forced to protect his home as best as he can.

The Christmas film not only catapulted Macaulay Culkin into stardom but also showcased a talented ensemble cast. Let's take a look at where the main cast members are now.

Macaulay Culkin – Kevin McCallister

Our favourite mischievous kid, Macaulay Culkin, traded booby traps for the limelight. After a hiatus, he's back, starring in Google Assistant ads and the latest season of American Horror Story.

Macaulay's love life is making headlines too. He married and divorced Rachel Milner, and is now a happy dad with Brenda Song. In a sweet tribute to his late sister, the couple names their daughter Dakota.

Kieran Culkin – Fuller McCallister

Did you know Macaulay has a talented brother? Kieran Culkin, aka Fuller, went from Home Alone to hitting the big screen in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

He's now a star in the HBO hit Succession, and he and wife Jazz Charton are proud parents to a little one born last August. Kieran, who once dated Emma Stone, is proving that the Culkin charm runs strong in the family.

Joe Pesci – Harry

Joe Pesci, the man with the plan (well, sort of) in Home Alone, took a break but came back with a bang.

Even after announcing his retirement in 1999, he couldn't resist the allure of the big screen and returned for a memorable performance in The Irishman. Winning an Oscar for The Irishman in 2019 alongside De Niro and Scorsese, Pesci is proving he's still got the acting chops.

Daniel Stern – Marv

Daniel Stern, the taller half of the bumbling burglar duo, took a different route — behind the scenes. He's into directing and producing now, as well as engaging in charity work.

Stern's volunteer work through the Malibu Foundation for Youth and Families, as well as his visits to US troops in Iraq in 2003, showcase his dedication to making a positive impact.

Catherine O'Hara – Kate McCallister

Mum of the century in Home Alone, Catherine O'Hara's career soared post-McCallister chaos. From Beetlejuice to the Emmy-winning Schitt's Creek, she's a true Hollywood star.

Her diverse roles in both film and television include voicing Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas and her portrayal of Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek, which won her an Emmy in 2019.

John Heard – Peter McCallister

John Heard, the calm dad in the McCallister clan, continued his acting journey until his death in 2017.

Following Home Alone, he appeared in 1992's Gladiator as John Riley, and is credited with a role in at least one movie every year since 1987 as well as memorable roles in CSI: Miami and Modern Family.

Devin Ratray – Buzz McCallister

Devin Ratray reprised his role in Home Sweet Home Alone, proving he's still got the McCallister spirit. Devin's journey after Home Alone includes roles in hit series like Law & Order: SVU and movies like R.I.P.D..

The actor is also in a band called Little Bill and the Beckleys, performing as the band's singer, guitarist and lyricist.

Hillary Wolf – Megan McCallister

Hillary Wolf, who played Kevin's older sister, ditched acting for Olympic glory, representing the US in Judo at the '96 and 2000 Olympics.

Post-retirement, Hillary diversified her talents and authored a book, The Not So Zen Mom, showcasing her skills beyond the silver screen.

Angela Goethals – Linnie McCallister

Angela Goethals, the one who coined "Les Incompetents" in Home Alone, continued her acting journey with big names like Tom Cruise and Adam Sandler.

In 1996, the actress played Kathy Sanders in Jerry Maguire, appearing alongside Hollywood names Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger.

Six years later, in 2002, Angela starred in Jerry Springer, as well as Adam Sandler's movie Spanglish. Angela has a daughter with fellow actor Russell Soder, who she married in 2005.

Brenda Fricker – Pigeon Lady

Oscar winner Brenda Fricker, the mysterious Pigeon Lady in Home Alone 2, left us with unforgettable performances before retiring in 2014. Fricker's portrayal of complex characters in films like My Left Foot earned her critical acclaim.

In 2019, it was revealed that Brenda will make a surprise return to TV to star in ITV drama Holding, adapted from the novel of the same name by Graham Norton.

Donald Trump – Himself

And who could forget the unexpected cameo? Donald Trump, the 45th President, made a lasting impression in Home Alone 2.

According to director Christopher Columbus, Trump 'bullied' his way into the film, but they left the scene in as audiences loved it.

From Plaza Hotel owner to the Oval Office, after spending four years in the White House, Trump's foray into politics made him a polarising figure, leaving a mark on American history.
