EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Laurence Fox’s on-air antics are starting to damage the reputation of his acting dynasty
Laurence Fox, who was suspended as a GB News presenter this week after he made vulgar sexual remarks about political reporter Ava Evans, is starting to damage the reputation of his illustrious acting dynasty.
I hear his cousin Freddie Fox lost a major West End role because the producers were so worried about his links to ‘toxic’ Laurence.
Freddie is said to have been offered the part of the Emcee in Cabaret, originally played by Eddie Redmayne, only to have it rescinded.
‘Freddie had the part,’ a source tells me.
‘He’s a great actor. But a couple of decision-makers took the view that the association with Laurence was too dangerous and could negatively affect ticket sales.’
A spokesman for Freddie and Cabaret’s producers declined to comment.

Coldplay star Chris Martin underwent a ‘conscious uncoupling’ from his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, but he has no plans to be parted from his cash.
I can disclose that Coldplay have just broken a record, by making more money from a tour than any band before them.
Newly filed accounts reveal their business, Flock of Birds Touring, had a turnover of £114 million last year, thanks to their Music of the Spheres world tour.
The Rolling Stones had banked £80 million from their tour.
It meant Coldplay’s company, of which Martin, 46, and his three bandmates are directors, made a profit of £33 million.
(Very) modern manners
King Charles is known for talking to plants — but now you can bathe with them at his Norfolk retreat.
Next month Sandringham will run an introduction to forest bathing, a ‘therapeutic practice that connects people to the natural world through gentle, sensory-based activities’.
It involves ‘walking slowly, breathing deeply, and using your senses’, a spokesman says, claiming that it can boost the immune system.
